Laidier Mims were married Sunday
evening in Cordele.
The pine produot plant m
Cordele, whiih was burned a few
weeks ago, is being rebuilt.
Able bodied men are becoming
more and more valuable. Convicts
are now bringing $12.36 a month.
The farmers should remember
that they will have to eat another
year, and make something besides
ootton.
Nearly every Sunday this year
has been raining. Last Sunday the
rain did not come until night and
the day was nioe.
Key. C. H. Hyde died Sunday
morning at his home in Cordate.
He was a Presbyterian evangelist
64 years old.

The spring term of Dooly suprior
oourt olosed Friday. There was a
long Btring of oivil oases. The
criminal oases wero only four as
follows. Will Clark was . sent up
for life for the killing of his wife.
He shot her to death last fall on
Homer MoCorvey’s place near.Snow.
Aden Bivins got four years for
shooting at auother.
Ellis Green is to hang on the 6th
day of April for the murder of
wife in Cordele a few months ago.
He had no lawyer and the oourt
appointed one to defend him but
the case was lost, f
Seymour williams was re-sen-
tenoed to hang, this time on tho 6th
of April, the same day set for the
exeoution of Ellis Greene. Seymour
was convioted at last term of the
Court and sentenced to hang, and
his ease went to the supreme court
to he turned down. Seymour has
a reputation of being a good darkey
who got in bad company and was in
the killing oj Mr. Dook Edmonson
at Coney last summer. A long
petition for his life is before the
prison hoard, whioh is to aot on his
case this mouth.
Arthur Davies is able to be out
on orutohea. A telephone pole fell
with hist at Unadilla about a month
ago and dislooated his hip. It was
reported then that - his leg was
broken, but that seems to be a mis
take.
The Shoofly train stopped her

We have had an enterview with
Candidate Crum on his dispensory
views, and learn that he is opposed

You oan raise 100 bushels of
oucumbers from an acre of Dooly
county sail yet every grooery store
in town has piokles for,sale, that
were put up in Maryland. A pickle
farm properly managed would bring
a fortune to the owner. -
W A J Hall had a narrow escape
and got his face humped from
long piece of sap falling from a tree
in his field last week. As he palled
at the sap, it shelled off from the
tree in^a pieoe about 20 feet' long
and scratched hit face as it fall
endways to the ground. '

papers. Bruns is well known for
his honesty, industry, sobriety and,
good citizenship. He is. a .Dooly
epnnty boy, knows everybody and
^everybody knows him. He was
clerk and treasurer of the oity of
Vienna for two years, is now.olerk
of the sohool board, and a member
of the Vienna Drug Company, at,
which store he can always be ,found
when you want money from the
oounty.

The Dooly County Bsf psssod a set of
esolutions at tho recent ression ol sueprior
court endorsing unanimously Chief Justice
T. J. Simmons oi the supreme court for re-
election. He has been on the supreme
beech aheut 26 years and is recognized as
one of the best judges of law in the state.
