A report from Macon says no less than 100-farmers were in Macon Sunday hunting cotton- pickers. They came from all di rections, and some from a hundred miles away. Half a dozen wagons were at the livery stables Sunday night in Macon to carry hands to the country, aud one man said be had foriy bales open. In Vienna the wagons are here before day every morning for the hands, and they are brough back every night. A man may sit on a sulky plow and cultivate a cotton crop, but he will never sit there and pick u.
