Senator M.. G. Boyd.
The people of White county
who voted for Col. Boyd, and the
people of Lumpkin and Dawson
who aided in his cloctionj have
every reason to bo proud of the
Senator from the Ihirty-seecnd
district.
Since Senator Boyd look his
seat in the General Assembly but
it Ho was heard from him until
when lie mol ed to re
consider the action of a certain
bill passed the day before by the
Senate. IIis logical argument of
the question, and How of elo
quence won the day for him, anil
the question was reconsidered
and the action if the previous
day was i eversed.
This was a grand victory jor
Mr. Boyd, and is but the begin-

cognized as one of the most pow
erful leaders in The senate, and
we have the word of those who
know, for the assertion that his
opinion is sought more than any
