THtH SKADOARD INJUNCTION.
The Case Decided tty Judge Lumpkin
at Atluntn.
Judge Henry Lumpkio, of Fnlton

the case ol tho Heaboard Air Lino Belt

with an order of tho Southern Railway
and Steamship Association, which
comntnndcd that the defendant rnil-

Tho fact which stands out cloarly in
general landscape of tho decision, is
that tho Hoahoard people claim that
they linvo obtaini d that for which they
asked; while tho Western aud Atlantic
says Mint the judgment passod by
Judge Lumpkin is virtually in favor of
itsolf.
It is certnin, ot any rate, that in
general terms Jndge Lumpkin lias
granted tho injunction, wltilo ho lias
limited its application in such a man-
nor that its interpretation is a matter
of tho future, arising out of a dispute
on particular casea under tho docision.
Boforo further oommont hore is tho
verbatim text of tho decision, which
Judge Lumpkin read from manuscript
together with tho preliminary re
marks made by the court.
Judge Lumpkin slated that tbo doc

lio had given them tho most careful

that he, liko tho rest of httmauMy, was

correct solution of the problem which
tbo rcsjtcctivo counsel had laid hoforo
hint.
Ho paid high compliments to tho
lawyers on both sides, faying that, lie
had soldom heard suoh ahlo arguments
in any case.
