It has been warm here, but when
vva consider how little we have
suil'ered in comparison with the
tortures endured by the millions
in the great cities, our lieu its go

We have much for which to be

The Populists had a eampineet-

Moses Wright, broUier-of
Seaborn Wright, the Populist
nominee for governor, will stump
the State against his brother, and
says tluyt Seaborn will be beaten
1,000 votes in-his own county.
Governor Atkinson will speak
at Blue Ridge before long. The
occasion will be one to attract the
voters, not only of Fannin but all
adjoining counties. There is talk
of a barbecue and Democratic ral
ly the day the governor speaks.
Mr. Josepn F. Castleberry was
nominated on August 15tli by the
Populists of Dawson county ns
their candidate for the Slate sen
ate from the 32d district. Mr.
Smith, the man nominated by
t liem a low weeks ago was not eli
gible, not having resided in the
district the required time.
Tom Watson’s attempt in his
Alpharetta speech to prejudice the
negro against the Demon atic par-
tv was a trick unworthy any
white man—much more a man of
Watson’s position. This is not I lie
first time \\ utson has made love
in Ibis fashion to the negro. Such
methods are contemptible; we de

between Populism and Prohibi

Last Sunday Gov. Atkinson was

the other studies, wiili the excep

Watson to arrange a row of chairs

The people have toiler since learned Unit
the most disagreeable medicines arc not
necessarily the best. In fact, as a rule,
they are not. What is wanted is some
thing' mild and sure, such as Chamber
lain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Rem
edy. That is really plea-ant to take
when reduced with water and sweetened.
Then it is acknowledged everywhere to
lie the most successful remedy in the
world for bowel complaints. Ask any
number of druggists for the best remedy
they have for diiirrhcBU and fully nine out
of ten will recommend Chamberlain's. In
speaking of this medicine, Mr. B. B. But'
finn of Friendsville, Susipuhanna Co.,

ive remedy.” For sale by A. 11. Hender
