Deaths in A' hint a in July, were 102 of which 38 were whites, and Gi color ed. For August the deaths were 78, of which 29 were whites and 49 black. The rag warehouse of the Pioneer Paper Mill at Athens was destroyed by fire recently. Loss $3,0C0; only 300 hundred insurance. Cotton picking has commenced in Morgan county one hundred and fifty pounds to the band being picked per day. Cotton and corn good. An extraordinary religious revival is progressing at Payne s Chapel in Atlant ’. During the last two weeks over one hundred have been added to the Church.
