HAVti, I’OU iLVSLK THOUGHT
Hew many hours out of each week
would be saved by yourself, your family
and your teams, by the telephone ?
Hare you ever calculated how many
an.Til es can be saved in case of business,
nek ness, or emergency ?
Have you ever thought of the dollars
von might gain, if you were only in
dos< connection with the market ?
Can you conceive of the pleasure to be
lerived from having in your home im
mediate communication with the homes
of neighbors and friends though situated
miles away ?
The telephone will pay for itself by
jetting better market prices.
<
It will save several dollars every
month by avoiding needless trips to
town.
It will take and deliver telegraph
messages immediately without extra
expense.
It will keep you informed on weather
predictions upon inquiry.
It will order repairs instantly when
machines break down.
It will do the visiting and make social
.•alls without the trouble of “dressing
up" ’ and taking a long, dusty, heated or
freezing ride.
It will get a doctor on a moment’s
notice and maybe save a loved one’s
life.

they are in.
It cvill keep away insolent tramps and

Indigestion Causes
CatarrK of the
Stomach.
cor many years it has been supposed that
Catarrh of the Stomach caused indigestion
and dyspepsia, but the truth is exactly the
opposite, indigestion causes catarrh. Re
peated attacks of indigestion inflames the
mucous membranes lining the stomach and
erases, me nerves of the stomach, thus caus
ing the glands to secrete mucin instead of
the juices of natural digestion This is
called Catarrh of the Stomach.
Kodol Dyspepsia Cure
relieves ail inflammation of the mucous
membranes lining the stomach, protects the
nerves, and cures bad breath, sour risings, a
sense of fullness after eating, indigestion,
dyspepsia and all stomach troubles.

A LITTLE NONSENSE.
Tommy Thought He, Too, Was Entitled
to a Reward.
The Browns’ ash can was often
the receptacle of more things than
ashes. It was no uncommon thing
for Nora, the maid, to find a knife
or a fork or some other rather val
uable article in it when she dumped
the ashes in t’ae alley. Whatever
it was/ she always brought it to
Mrs. Brown, with the remark that
here was such and such a thing that
was perfectly good and that she had
found in the ash barrel. Tommy,
who was present on one of these oc
casions, saw that his mother gave
Mary a pecuniary reward, so he de
cided to try his hand, lie rum
maged around in the can until he
found something, lie ran off to his
mother, who was entertaining* call
ers. with it.
“Oh, mamma,” he cried, “look at
this perfectly good cat i found in
the ash can!”—Lippiucott’s Maga
zine.

What to Do.
There is comfort in the knowledge so
often expressed, that Dr. Kilmer's Swamp-
Root, the great kidney remedy fulfills every
wish in curing rheumatism, pain in the
back, kidneys, liver, bladder and every part
of the uripary passage. It corrects inability
to hold water and scalding pain in passing
it, or bad effects following use of liquor,
wine or beer, and overcomes that unpleasant
necessity of .being compelled to go often
during the day, and to get up many times
during the night. The mild and the extra
ordinary effect of Swamp-Root is soon
realized. It stands the highest for its won
derful cures of the most distressing cases.

I was afflicted with Tetter in bad shape
It would appear in blotches af large as 1115
hand, a yellowish color, and scale off
You can imagine how offensive it was
For twelve years I was afflicted with thii
trouble. At night it was a case of scratch
and many times no rest at all. Seeingthe
good the medicine was doing a friend
who was taking it for Eczema, I com
menced it, and as a result the eruption be
gan to dry- up and disappear, and to-daj
l am practically a well man. Only twe
tiny spots are left on the elbow and shin,
where once the whole body was affected,
f have every confidence in the medicine
and feel sure that in a short time thesf
two remaining spots will disappear.
S. S. S is certainly a great blood puri
fier, and has done me a world of good
I am grateful for what it has accom
plished, and trust that what I have said
will lead others who are similarly afflict
ed to take the remedy and obtain thi
same good results that I have.
