Mrs. Julia Veach, Misses Susie and Mary Yeaeli leave this week to spend the holiday s with Mrs. W. H. (irady ir Chattanooga. The holidays will be laden with the usual festivities Christmas trees, din ners. etc. Both Hie Baptist an-2 Methodist Sundav Schools will have trees. The c'ose of school for a week holi day will occur on Thursday, a play, “The Deacon,” will be given Thurs day evening for tlie benefit of the school. A burg'ur eutered the store of Tur i < r, King and Ootilpuny on Saturday flight and stole a prize box of money which was to be given to some lucky customer. An entrance was effected .through one of the show-windows. The damage done was considerable, as the window was very large and both the outside and inside glass was wrecked. There is no due for the rob bery. CASSVILLE Ihe farmers of this section are through gathering and sowing wheat. It is said that Bartow is rarely vis ited with such a prosperous year as 11*04. lam sure this section has the best crops it has had in several years. We should he very thankful it has come our way, although I guess the republicans will claim the “booty.” I am glad that ou distinguished friend, Mr. M. L. MVE FORK'S- We have a very floiyiahing school at this place, with Prof. Freeman as principal. Miss Urie Henderson visited Dr. Monroe at Emerson lust week. Mrs. B. F. Garmon, who came up to attend the Gilreath-Yarborough w. dding, has returned home in Home. Mr and Mrs. Blake Rutland spent last Saturday in Cartersville. Mrs. Walter Yarborough is visiting her mother this week. Mr. Jabez Donald and faurly, of Chattooga county, are visiting rela tives here now, , Madam Humor says there is to be i: wedding here soon.
