Messrs. J. C. Jolly and W. W.
Morjis are attending court this
\ eek at Cartersville.
Since the boys attended the s>how
Kingston last week much talk
ing has been done.especially about
1 e elephant. They think he was
the most dangerous animal exhib
ited there and the one most to be
i tred it turned loose to roam at
will.
The sweet potato crop is being
1 irvested and many patches have
yielded abundantly.
The'pea ciop where sown or
cultivated has been beayily loaded
w ith pods but iront some cause a
very large per cent, of the peas did
not mature to full growth.
Miss Gillam, of Kingston, is vis
it mg the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.
R. Stone.
Irby Henderson, of Chicka
mruga, is visiting home folks at
Ligon.
Mr. and Mis. Fred Durant left,
last Friday morning for their home
at Jacksonville, Fla.
Mr and Mrs. Ciemson Tate
It ive had to make room in their
mansion for another —it’s a girl.
Many of our farmers in this sec
ern have gathered corn and they
tell us that it has done better both
in yields and quality than ex
pected .
We noticed a few days ago that
tie amount of fertilizers used by
the State of Georgia this year
amounted up to five hundred
thousand tons. Make an estimate
o t this vast amount in dollars and
cents and see if it is not enough to
claim the attention of the most
careless farmer, let alone the most
thoughtful. It amounts to a stu
pt ndous sum and if every farmer
would save and not sell the cotton
st ed but turn them back to the
hud mixed with all manures and
other things which are wasted
about the premises, the large
amount of money expended annu
ally for chemical plant food would
b sav.'d and our land and profits
increased three fold, and one trust
a. e st kii el, if not two. Let us
try it next year and see what the
results will be.
Thomas Morris, of Rockmart.
was in our midst last week.
Rev. John McMurry, of Lin
wood, filled his regular appoint
ment again last Sunday and Sat

When you buy anew collar you
do not find it laundried a sleek, cel

Our specialty iti laundry work
is the domestic finish, will give
you the glass if you prefer it. But
\our linen will last a third longer
domestic laundried. The wax used
for the glass necessarily breaks the
fabric quicker than the domestic.

Dark Hair
“ I have used Ayer’s Hair Vigor
for a great many years, and al
though i am past eighty years of
age, yet I have not a gray hair in
my head.”
Geo. Yellott, Towson, Md.
We mean all that rich,
dark color your hair used
to have. If it’s gray now,
no matter; for Ayer’s
Hair Vigor always re
stores color to gray hair.
Sometimes it makes the
hair grow very heavy and
long; and it stops falling
of the hair, too.

I> illness Cannot be Cured
by local applications, as they cannot
reach the diseased portion of the ear.
There is only one way to cure deaf ness,
and that is bv constitutional remedies.
Deafness lscaused by an inllained con
dition of the mucous lining of the Eus
tachian Tube, When this tube gets in
flamed you have a rumbling sound or
imperfect hearing, and when it is en
tirely closed deafness is the result, and
unless the inflammation can be taken
out and this tube restored to its normal
condition, hearing wi 1 be destro-ed
forever; nine cases out often arecaused
by catarrh, which is nothing out an in
flamed condition of the mucous sur
faces.
We give One Hundred Dollars for any
case of deafness (caused by calarrh)that
cannot he cured by Hall’s Catarrh Cure.

Women as Well as Men
Are Made Miserable by
Kidney Trouble.
Kidney trouble preys upon the mind, dis
courages and lessens ambition; beauty, vigor
t j. and cheerfulness soon
disappear when the kid
neys are out of order
-QtilluiL or diseased.
Kidney trouble has
become so prevalent
y j] that it is not uncommon
X rj for a child to be born
/y mv'v afflicted with weak kid
* neys. If the child urin
•ates too often, if the
urine scalds the flesh or if, when the child
reaches an age when it should be able to
control the passage, it is yet afflicted with
bed-wetting, depend upon it, the cause of
the difficulty is kidney trouble, and the first
step should be towards the treatment of
these important organs. This unpleasant
trouble is due to a diseased condition of the
kidneys and bladder and not to a habit as
most people suppose.
Women as well as men are made mis
erable with kidney and bladder trouble,
and both need the same great remedy.
