Fite received a letter yesterday from his son, Cadet Conyers Fite, at West Point Military Acade my, saying that that splendid young man was ill with fever in the hospital, but his condition is not serious. Lyon presented the city with the Bartow county mineral exhibit, which was accepted by the city council, and a suitable place will be provided in one of the public buildings of Savannah to display it.
