And is Going to Seil His Immense Stock of Goods
Between Now and the Ist of Jan’y
In Order to Do This Everything 1 in the Store Will Be Sold

<
It is only now and then that such an opportunity presents itself to the people to buy the character of goods
that are now offered-
There is no merchant in Georgia that can or will sell you goods as cheap as I am going to do.
These are not old goods, they are not out of style goods—on the contrary, they consist of the very best
class of goods that money can buy.
The quicker you can make your selections the better, and every dollar you buy here will be a great saving.
Don’t miss this opportunity.
Our books will close October Ist and after that date no goods will be charged.
All persons owing me accounts will make settlements as soon as possible as this business must be
wound up.
All of my store fixtures for sale.

THURSDAY. OCT. 8, !%:’.
Mr. George S. Crouch was
elected a member of the city school
board at the meeting of the city
council last Thursday night, to
fill the unexpired term caused by
the death of Col. F. M, Ford.
The automobile is in at least one
instance used in the rural mail de
livery service. Uncle Sam can’t
afford to engage in the norse fright
ening business, so the auto ought
to be cut out.
The season of fairs is again at
hand. In some instances if the
calf would eat the pumpkin, and
then die, it would come very near
ending the exhibition, but they
draw country people to the city
to spend their money all the same.
With Bryanites suggesting and
Clevelandites conjecturing, it would
seem to be somewhat of a task to
find the right man for the demo
crats to run. But the republicans
seem to know best who will suit,
and might be left to make a choice
for the party of the opposition.

First Cost Not (he Cheapest.
The first cost of an article does not
necessarily determine its cheapness
For instance a sack of “Clifton'’
flour may cost you a little more than
other so-called patent flours, but it
will be cheaper to you in the end.
Why? Because it will not onlv make
more joread to the sack, but will take
less lard and soda to make it. Order
a sack of “Clifton" and make a test
for yourself. It will prove the truth
of this statement. Stanford Bros, and
