INDUSTRIAL HOME BAND-
Concert at ODera House Draws
Good Crowd.
The Boys Band and Drum Corps
of the Georgia Industrial Home,
of Macon, in charge of the founder
of the home, Rev. W. E. Mumford,
spent last Friday in Caitersville,
and gave a concert at the opera
house Friday night.
Mr. Mumford and the boys came
in over the W. & A. railroad from
Rome on the morning train, and
the little fellows were received into
the homes of the people of Carters
ville for the night.
The band is in charge of Prof.
Harry Gooding, a musical instruc
tor of ability, and the programme
for the concert Fr.day night was a
rare treat to the people of Carters
vilie, who were chaimed with the
excellent music produced by the
band and drum corps.
Owing to a conflict of dates with
the Who What When Minstrels,
the boys band could not get the
opera house for Thursday night,
as was intended and later decided
to come for Friday night. This
prevented their having the full
house which they deserved, and
should they come this way again
C?rtersville will give them a big
reception.
Rev. W. E. Mumford, the founder
of the home has been known to the
writer since his boyhood, and a
