M4-4W LIBERTY HILL. \\ heat and oats is particularly nice in this section this year, and 'Mr. John Padgett nnd Mr. Jasper Wheeler have been quite busy for several days past saving the grain. We can truly boast of more wide awake, painstaking and indus trious farmers than most small places, and if the weather is favor able there will be very few fail ures in crops here this year. Mr. Pierce Dowell and family visited the family of Mr. W. M. Smith a few days the past week. There is quite an attraction at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 11. W. Bryson in the form of an infant daughter. Mr. William Loveless and son, Mr. Felton Loveless, of Carters ville, visited the family of Mr. H, A. Loveless, a brother of the for mer last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin, of near Cartersville, visited their son, Mr. Charlie Erwin last Sunday. Mrs J no. L. Padgett, who has been quite sick for several days, is very much better. Some of the girls would like to know what made a certain young man run so fast in the direction of his home a few nights ago. Some body said he thought he saw a dead man lying on the roadside When the matter was reported and a searching party went out to to investigate, the dead man proved to be a suit of clothes stuffed with newspapers. This is probably a plan to teach the boys to go home before dark and they will not get frightened at such un sightly apparitions. Mr G. W. Lockridge has been indisposed for several days but is better at this wriing. Wheat Sax of ev ery description. J. B. Pyron & Son. 6-14-4 W WHITE MAN TURNED YEL LOW. Geat consternation was felt by the friends of M. A. Hogarty of Lexington, Kv., when they saw he was turning yellow. His skin slowly changed color, also his eyes, and he suffered teiribly. His mal ady was Yellow Jaundice He was treated by the best doctors, but without benefit. Then he was ad vised to try Electric Bitters, the wonderful Stomach and Liver remedy, and he writes: “After taking two bottles I was wholly curetT” A trial proves its matchless, merit for all Stomach, Liver and Kidney troubles. Only 50c. Sold by Young Bros. Druggists. BOCHEE. Rev. Mr. Jameson preached an able sermon at the Academy Sun day evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Whitworth and Mr. C. D. Wilson took in an allday singing at the Glade Sun day. Judge Hendrix and his two daughters, visited Mr. T. D. Hen derson one day last week. Mrs James Pickard we are glad to say is improving. Mrs. W. C. Carlisle received a package through the mail last week, which upon opening found the contents to be a horn frog. It does not resemble the frog here, it has horns and a rigid crustv shell something very peculiar to the people of this country. The Glasgow, Wilson. Carlisle, Cos., are threshing wheat today, (Tuesday) testing their new ma chinery. It is very attractive. The death angel visited the home of Mr. Lem Edwards last Thursday and took for its flight his darling baby. The remains were laid to rest in Cassville cemetery Friday. The family have our sympathy in their bereavement. Next Sunday will be children’s day- at Best's chapel. There will be dinner on the ground and a nice time expected.
