KINGSTON.
The sth or hide and tallow quar
ter of Kingston circuit, M. K. ;
Church south was closed at the
parsonage on the 13th with a bar-!
becue and basket dinner. It was a
very pleasant and profitable gath
ering. Nearly all of theoffieial mem
bers and many others not so offi
cial were present and all were
welcome, ant} I forgot to say nearly
all due the pastor and presiding
elder was paid over. Rev. C. A.
Jamison and his good lady as host
and hostess so conducted the ser
vices that everyone left with thanks
to the good Lord for the privilege
of meeting together at the parson
age just before the beloved pastor
had to start to the annual confer
ence.
On Monday night a large num-f
ber tt the citizens of Kingston and ;
vicinity met at the Methodist I
church (or the purpose of locating
the site for the new school building.
Quite an enthusiastic meeting.
Rev. C. A. Jamison favored them
with a fine talk. The lot at West
Side of the public square was se
lected and it is believed the dirt
will be broken before Christmas to
start the building.
Mr. E. M. Elridge and Z. V.
Davidson returned from Dahlonega
last night. They are interested in
some valuable mine associations
with a strong company of business
men and mining experts from Cin
cinati.
Rev. C. A. Jamison starts to the
annual conference, North Ga. M.
church, south which meets in
the 22d Bishop Hendrix

We are having and expect real
The Eminent Kidney
and Bladder Specialist.
Tire Discoverer of Swamp-Root at Work la
His Laboratory.
There is a disease prevailing in this
country most dangerous because so decep
tive. Many sudden deaths are caused by
it —heart disease, pneumonia, heart failure
or apoplexy are often the result of kidney
disease, if kidney trouble is allowed to ad
vance the kidney-poisoned blood will attack
the vital organs, or the kidneys themselves
break down and waste away cell by cell.
Then the richness of the blood—the albumen
—leaks out and the sufferer has Bright's
Disease, the worst form of kidney trouble.
Dr. Kilmer’s Swamp-Root the new dis
covery is the true specific for kidney, bladder
and urinary troubles. It has cured thousands
of apparently hopeless cases, after all other
efforts have failed. At druggists in fifty-cent
and dollar sizes. A sample bottle sent free
by mail, also a book telling about Swamp-
Root and its wonderful cures. Address
Dr. Kilmer & Cos., Binghamton, N. Y. and
mention this paper.
good hog killing weather after this.
The farmers are all bragging over .
the fine potato ciop, and the size
of some of the potatoes are aston
ishing to behold, so large they
have to be split with an ax in or
der to cook them as they should
be.
There are some fine hogs to kill
in our community and everybody
is proud of the success they have
made this year. Cotton has been
a very good price and farmers are
about on a level with the times.
The church that has been so
| long in contemplation here, is be
i ing framed and with a little pluck
• and energy on the part of the com
munity,it would soon be brought to
completion, and it is very much
nzeded. Our pas or preached li's
last sermon here last Sunday, as
t e conference meets this week.
We sincerely hope the preachers
will have a googl meeting and
everybody satisfied with who ever
they may have as pas or.
The school at this place is in
progress, with Mr, Fred Branson
as principal. We wish him great
success in his new field.
Everybody in our community
is opposed to the dispensary bill
and hope it will meet with defeat.
