The county is happy,
Not to say lucky,
For it has a “Family Ticket;”
It saves us the t rouble
Of all further squabble
If we only put through the ticket.
It is modest, it’s true,
But betwran ire aud you,
We must all vote the ticket.
Perhaps we can’t elect
All the seV at.
But we must put through the ticket.
We may not be strong,
But then it is vrong
To throw doab. on the ticket;
We have a litt’e game,
Which serves all tie same,
To put through the ticket.
We have not the people,
But surely, without scruple,
We’ll put through tin ticket.
They have not much money,
But then they’re so toney,
And that will elect the ticket.
Oh, beautii jl the f a me.
Without any name.
By which we’ll shove through the ticket,
It settles the hash
Of all the poor trash.
And elects the family ticket.
By Gosh.
TO THE DEAR PEOPLE OF liARETOE.
The politicians, who are in charge of
affairs, have fixed up the Allowing shite
which will be known as the “Family
Ticket,” and you and eaeh of you, dear
neople, will be expected, indeed required
to support the some without a murmur.
Brer Watt Harris, for the Senate, who
will in turn support Brer Tom Milner for
Judge, and also Brer Fite for Solicitor,
who wi'l in due course of time appoint
Brer Main Harris to be Solicitor of the
city court. After you dear p *ople have
elected this “Fami\v Ticket,” as is your
bounden duty, the members thereof will
know you no more until they want an
other office. Not One of the Ring.

on the 21st day of June next, that I
may be, and shall, if I do not change my
mind, be a candidate before such nomi

voice the will of the m ijorit.v, I wou’d
not accept the nomination, if I am a

object of all conventions soul I be to
consult the popular will, and in calling
conventions an eye should be had to
that will as an eve single to that in their

that my friends may keep themselves
unpledged from other candidates and
free to act on the 21st day of June as
they may think best and us may most
accord with their feelings.
