President Theodore Roosevelt
was a dynamic force in a rela

as conservationism. By the end
of his term as president he had
created 5 national parks, 4
game refuges, 51 national bird
reservations as well as the Na
tional Forrest Service. He
opened the nation’s eyes to the
national wonders of the land.
He had changed the attitude of

ration of Independence, he
lived in Meadow Gardens until
his death February 2, 1804, in

The veteran’s moment was
given by Imogene Beard
Wells. The longest battle of
WWII was the battle of the At
lantic, which lasted 1939-
1945. The word “Nazi” derives
from a Barvarian word that
means “Simple Minded” and
was first used as a term of de
rision by journalist Konrad
Heiden (1901-1966). The
swastika is an ancient religious
symbol. It derives from the
Sanskrit name for crooked
cross. Which was used by an
cient civilizations as a symbol
of fertility and good fortune, it
has been found in the ruins of
Greece, Egypt, China, India
and Hindu temples.
