The disposal bin is now located right outside the main
entrance to the Sheriff’s Office.
Old medicine disposal
The Sheriff’s Department
has an expired and unused
medicine drop box in the lobby
for everyone to use to get rid of
that old medicine.
Sheriff Andy Hester said
disposing of some old and ex
pired medicine by flushing it or
washing it down the sink can
be hazardous to the environ
ment. Any drugs dropped in
the disposal box at the Sher
iff’s office will be dealt with in
a safe way.
“This is for everyone,”
Sheriff Hester said. “If you
have old medicines that are ex
pired or you don’t know what
to do with them, bring them
here. If they are thrown away
here, children can’t get into
them either.”
The box has a list of what
can be thrown away there and
what should not be tossed in
the container. If you have any
questions, please ask someone
in the Sheriff’s office, the sher
iff said.

"There are a lot of extras

Leaves &
limbs
Ashburn residents: When
you pile leaves and limbs at
curbside, please separate limbs
from the leaves and pine straw.
The City's street vac can pick
up the leaves and straw. The
boom truck can pick up limbs.
When you separate the leaves
and limbs, pick up goes faster
and takes fewer employees.

Endometriosis
Find Relief
from the Pain
Endometriosis is a painful
disease which affects an
estimated one-in-10 women
between the ages of 15 to 49.
Symptoms include painful
periods, pain during sexual
intercourse, heavy bleeding,
chronic pelvic pain, fatigue and more.
Depending on the extent of the disease, laparoscopic surgery by the
gynecological professionals at Affinity Physicians for Women can be
effective to remove endometriosis lesions and scar tissue. This can make a
significant difference in pain management and control of other symptoms.
Dr. Rana Khalekalso performs minimally-invasive robotic-assisted
surgery, offering a smaller incision, more precision and a quicker return
to normal activities.
