Quite a reaction in real estate in Wbigham at present. Bobe Harrison ja out again after a serious spell of sickness. Mr. J. £. Cobb attended the quar terly meeting at Cairo Monday. Mack Johnson of Cairo was a vis itor to Whigham Saturday. Cato Johnson is off buying timber lands for naval stores purposes. N. F. Jones family who haye been so sick are now improving. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bryant of Pine Hill settlement was m Whigham Friday shopping. W. T. Futrie and >1. A. Shaw, went down to Savannah this week on a business trip. ( Miss Becky Maxwell ot Calvary took in the millinery opening at Whigham Friday. Major R. A. Connell and Mr. Clay ton Hare returned from Bainbridge Tuesaay. The Whigham ginneries are run ntng day and night. To gin, grind and clean nee. Mrs. John Neel of Boston Ga., is on a visit to her sister > near Whig- ham. Mrs. Mills. Mrs. Manda Moore and daughters Misses Janie and Pearl were shop ping Satarday in Whigham. Mrs. Billie J&bnson and daughter Miss Addie were in Whigham Wed nesday from the Bell district. Mrs. T. C. Courson, will leave Saturday for a few weeks visit to her father and family at Nahnnta Ga., Mrs. John and Ben Bell from Mars Hill settlement were in Whigham Saturday the guest of Mrs. M. A. Bell. Mr. and Mrs. Green Lewis of Cai ro came over and spent _ the day with their son J. B. Lewis during tbs week. Mr. and Mrs. John Garland of Sofkee were in town Wednesday. Whigham is almost deserted at this writing as so many are attend ing the Association at Magnolia. Rev. Mr. John Bleuett and daugh ter Miss Johnnie May passed through Whigham en route to the Association at Magnolia. Quinn and Mrs. Tom Maxwell, is quite ill at her home near town at this writing it is fearfnl of her recovery owing to her extreme age. There was a young man called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McElvy this week and will likely re main with its parents and haye their attention for a number of years. Miss Crouders mother and brother are here with her during her serious illness it is remembered Miss Croud- er is one ot our High school teachers of Whigham. Rev. Mr. Blitob will start a series of meetings at the Methodist church next Sunday and the following week assisted by the pastor of the Metho dist church of Camilla. Misses Lina Jones, Zimmie Harri son, Ruby and Estelle Mills and Carrie Autrey of the Swicord School settlement were in town this week shopping. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hare re turned home Wednesday from North Ga., where they have been sum mering for several months. Wright Boyett went np to Bain bridge and had the right eye treated by Dr. Cheatham of London Bainbndges’ new specialist. Miss Befsie Poppell onr efficient assistant Post Mistress was oalled to Virginia the first of this week to at tend United States coart] She is on ly a witness in a ease of a Five Dol lar money order being lost, address ed at Whigham to a party in Virgin ia. Ab Logne sold his residence near the Harrell Mill in South Whigham to Mr. Bill Owens. Mr. Logue moved immediately to bis home just purchased from Mr. Dan Johnson while Mr. Johnson moved into the Logne house just vacated. W. C. Bell will soon erect a hand some brick livery stable which will add greatly to the looks of his pro perty.
