I L PERSONAL. A. J. Macdonald spent Sunday and Monday in Albany. Joe McFarland, Panacea Springs, spent a few day* here this week, C. 8. Hodges, of Cyrene, was reg> istered at the Bon Air Tuesday. J, W. Callahan spent this week in Jacksonville attending the carni val. W. B. Hodden berry, of Thomas- ville. was registered at the Bon Air Tuesday. Mrs. I. Kwilecki left for Savan- nan where she will be the guest of relatives for several weeks. Thomas M. Callaway, a prominent young insurance agent of Atlanta, was in the city this week. C. K. Btvings, A. Fort and M.Gt. Warren, prominent citizens of Jakin, were in the city this week. I. O. Brinson and E. N. Clark, of Albany, were here on business with the A. C. L. the first of this week. A number of young people chap eroned by Mrs. E. E.Shyer,enjoyed a delightful oyster supper Monday evening. Mrs. Georgia Fleming and Mrs. K. A. Oliver left Saturday for Ram say Miss, where they will remain for several months. Mrs. A. L. Townsend and Mrs. W. A. Wheeler, who have been in Macon the past ten days returned home Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. J, W. Sparks and littlo son Henry of Thomasville are the guests of the family of H. C. AH len on Shotwell street. Miss May Ramsay returned Sun day from Denyer, Col., where she has been spending tho past three ■ponths with Mrs. C. P. Gordon. Mrs. Magruder, formerly Miss Stella Clark, of Bainbndge, spent last Wednesday with Mrs. G. H, Ma lone, enroute to bea old home. Co lumbia where she will make la visit to relatives at that place .—Dot han Home Journal. Mrs. T. E. Williams and little daughter Fannie, aro visiting the family of Mr. T. I. Thomason at his pleasant suburban home, Mrs. Wil liams will be pleasantly remembered in Bainbridge as Miss Crawford. Dr. O. B. Bush, of Cairo, was in the oity a short while Wednesday enroute to Tallahassee, Fla. The dootor reports that no material dam age was occasioned in bis section by the incessant rams of the first three days of the week. Miss Helen Feiler who has been visiting Mrs. Dave Cohen for the past three months, leaves Monday for her home in Columbus. Miss Feiler is quite popular among tho the young people here and her de parture will be a source of regret to many. Col. Erie M. Donalson of this oity has received his commission as first Lieutenant and Battalion Adjutant of the Fourth Regiment, G. 8. T., of whioh Company “I” of this city is a part. Mr. Donalson is eminently qualified for the position and hiB np poiutment will meet with approval hero. Dr. I. II. Hunter of Chattahoo chee Fla., waB a caller at this office Tuesday passing through en route to bis home. Dr. Hunter spent three years at the Baltimore Medical Col lege, and completed his coutsb at Chattanooga. A few days ago he appeared before the State Board of Medical Examiners in Atlanta, along with twenty-seven others to take the examination requited. It will be gratifying to his friends that he made the third highest grade of any ot the aplicants; or that was possi ble to have beeu made.
