of the eleotrio light question. The
lack of interest is piobablv caused
by the unusual number of elections

Perhaps the vagrancy law was
more rigidly enforced here, there
would not be so mauy attempted
burglaries. It is more than probable
that these atumpts whic i seem to
be growing in frequency, are made
by idle and trifling negroes, who if
they were made to work and pro
vide themselves with tuod and
clothes, would not be inclined to
pnrloin the property of others.
The new Bainbridge State Bank is
rapidly assuming proportion and
will be completed in a few weeks.
Tbe fixtures aud appointments of
tbe bank will be very handsome and
will be put in the building as soon
as it is sufficiently completed. It is
probable that the officials will trans*

On last Saturday evening Miss

was thoroughly enjoyable to every
one. Among those present were
Misses Frances and Rosalie Kwi-
