THE BA1NBR1DG3 SEARCH LIGHT, BAINBRID JE G.A., FRIDAY, SEPLEMBER 2D, 1911
LITTLE LOCAL LILES
Mr. Kir; McCall, of Attapul-
gus, was among the business
visitors in the city Tuesday.
Don’t fail to go to Cox & Ball’s
and sse the car load of horses
and mules just arrived. They
were selected with great care
and you will be pleased with
them. They are among the finest
ever seen here.
Mr. L. Ball left Sunday for the
stock markets where he spent
part of the week buying a car
load of fine mules and horses.
Mr. Ball never buys unless he is
satisfied he has the very best go
ing. In this lot he has some of
finest stock ever seen in Bain-
bridge.
Look at G. B. Scott’s new ad
this week. He is still pushing
those famous Craddock-Terry
Shoes.
Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Robinson,
of Donalsonville, were in the
city a few days ago and spent
the day with Mrs. Robinson’s
brother, Mr. Tom Roberts.
I
Mrs. C. B. Scott left Sunday
for Tifton where she will spend
several days during the fair at
that place.
The writer noticed a few days
ago the largest assortment of
silk he had ever seen in Bain-
bridge. There is a great mound
of the pretty stuff and it is of
every color known. By the way,
they are having a great time
with the millinery opening at
Haddon’s. Great throngs of
ladies are visiting the pretty
store. We have heard of Had
don’s ad in the Search Light last
week from one end of the county
to the other. He got the ad up
in a very catchy form, which al
ways brings good results.
Dr. S. J. Chesnut spent part
of last week at Panama City,
Fla. The Doctor says Panama
Bay is one of the prettiest bodies
of water on the Gulf coast.
The State W. C. T. U. Con
vention meets in Savannah, Oct.

expected to attend. Those rep
resenting the Bainbridge Union
are Mrs. C. B. Scott, Mrs. V. E.
Rawlings and Mrs. W. S. Crum.

Mr. G. E. Swicord, of Climax,
was among the visitors in the
city Saturday.
Haire & Wilson are preparing
for a millinery opening to exceed
anything they have yet held.
Their new line is one of the
prettiest ever brought to Bain
bridge. Their milliner's are busy-
preparing for the event, which
is expected to bring great crowds
to their store during the time.
This hustling firm has adopted
the plan of regular advertising,
j with a change of ads each week
when necessary-. This is one of
j the means by which they are
I building up one of the largest
1 trades in southwest Georgia.
Read their ad in this issue.
