Death by Accident.
Information reached the Search
Light office, too late last week
for publication, of the accidental
killing of the 17-year-old son of
Mr. John Rich, near Brinson.
He was accidentally shot at his
home while his parents were
awaj and died before they re
turned. so the report is.
It is said the young man had a
friend, a young Mr. Davis, spend
ing the day with him while the
parents were away. The young
men had killed a chicken for
dinner and were preparing their
own meal. Young Rich was do
ing something about the cooking
stove, when, in some manner,
the gun they had used to kill the
chicken was discharged, the ball
entering his head. He fell and
expired in a short time.
Whether the gun fell, or was
moved in some manner by young
Davis, has not been learned.
The many friends of the fam
ily sympathize with them in the
sad bereavement.
