Drake, Jr., in the following manner: Purser Tom Buckner who has been identified with the Callahan steamers for several years in the capacity of purser, has tendered his resignation and has taken up new duties with the Thronateeska Navigation Company, of wnich he has long been a prominent stockholder. This change was made necessary by the death of Capt. Buchannan of the Thron ateeska Navigation Company. In future Mr. Buckner will be found steamboating on the upper Flint. Those people who have had business dealings with Mr. Buckner at the various points on thq Apalachicola river, and more especially those who knew him so well in Apalachicola, regret exceedingly that they no longer see hjs genial countenance in \ the Qf (he steamer Calla han, but nev^WSi they *x- v tend to him their kindest wishes for health,, happiness and pros perity, with the further wish that he will not desert them entirely.
