BUDGE GIRL WINS
The town of Bainbridge got on
the map in good trim Saturday
night when the Motion Picture
Trades Beauty Contest was pull
ed off in Atlanta and Mrs. E. C.
Everette, Miss Louise Desverges,
pf this city won first honor.
Mrs. Everette is one of the
real beautiful young ladies in
this section and the second
daughter of Mrs. Joe Desverges.
She is a Bainbridge born and
reared lady, marrying a few
1 years back and has made her
home in Atlanta since. How
ever her campaign took its inter
est from her home town and
from this point she loomed up as
a possible winner.
Mr. Quimby Melton the secret
ary of the local board of trade
and Walter Brackin of the Calla
han Theatre were in Atlanta at
the close of the contest Saturday
night and as usual took a part
in the contest in the interest of
the Bainbridge lady. Aided by
her many active friends in At
lanta and those from home Mrs.
Everette began to get her
strength early in the evening.
The result of the contest being
in her favor it is very natural
that all her friends here at home
were very much gratified and
proud to see her win.
The honor is a high testimonial
of regards from her many friends
and acquaintances and Bain
bridge congratulates not only
the lady but her valuable friends
that were there to see the honor
come to Decatur county.
ill be in Bainbridge the last two weeks in April. The
will close May 1st.

S IZE for Size, and Type for Type, Goodrich
Tires are as large as the largest put out
by any Maker, and WILL BE SO
MAINTAINED.
This means larger than corresponding Sizes
and Type3 of many other Tires for which even
higher prices are asked.
It means, too, the most generously made
FABRIC Tires on the Market, at any price.
Manufactured by the largest Rubber Factory-
in America, with a 47 year Experience in Rubber
working, and a Record for DEPENDABILITY
which makes the above statements worthy of
prompt acceptance.
Made from the new “Barefoot Rubber,” which
gives its maximum Traction with minimum Fric
tion,—with resilience, liveliness and long-life to
Tires.
P RICED on that “Fair-List” basis initiated
Jan. 1st, 1915, by the B. F. Goodrich
Co., which saved more than $25,000,000
last year to Tire-Users, through its Dropaganda
against Padded Price-Lists.
Priced so reasonably low that Competitors,
whose products are not comparable, claim superior
ity on the mere strength of their Higher Prices
(and the Larger Profits they demand from the
Tire-User and Dealer).
Goodrich Prices are based on what it costs the
largest, and longest experienced, Rubber Factory to
manufacture Tires, as ONE of the 269 lines of
Goodrich Rubber Goods for which it buys Crude
Rubber, and over which its Overhead Expenses are
divided.
Good Business Men should know, from this,
why Goodrich “Barefoot” Tires can be (as they
are) the best Tires on the Market AT ANY PRICE,
—though quoted at the moderate “Fair-List” fig
ures frankly and openly published herewith.

Can You Afford Any but a Titan
Kerosene Engine?
AT present average prices for kerosene and
gasoline, Titan kerosene engines save
their owners about i.ic. per horse power per
hour over gasoline engines.
Figure it this way. On an 8-horse engine the sav
ing is 8.8c. an hour, 88c. in a io-hour day, $88 in ioo
days of work. Say that is all your engine does in a
year.
It would cost you $88 more than you need to pay, to
run an 8-horse gasoline engine one year. That is more
than a third of the price of the engine. Can you afford to
throw away $88 a year? Can you afford even to think of
buying a gasoline engine, when you can get a Titan that
uses kerosene? See the Titan dealer and talk this over.
He has some interesting figures to show you.
