Press Comments Over the Circuit on Judge Harrell’s Candidacy Judge W. M. Harrell of Bain- bridge is in the race for judge of the Superior Court of the Albany Circuit. His formal announce ment will be found elsewhere in this issue of the Journal. Judge Harrell is already well- known in Mitchell county having been employed as counsel in some of the most important cases tried in the county during past several years. He has been active ly engaged in the practice of law lor JO years except 8 years of which he was judge of the City Court of Bainbridge. He is president of the Decatur County Bar Association and at a meeting of this body held Friday he was unanimously endorsed for the oflice. So far he is the only candidate who has made formal announce ment but he will be opposed by Judge A. S. Johnson of this coun ty who several weeks ago stated that he was in the race and would make his formal announcement in due time. Therehave also been others whose names have been mentioned as probable candidates and as the time for the election draws nearer there may be other entries. He is an affable gentleman, con scientious and possesses a deep regard for justice and fairness to every one. He is highly esteem ed in his native county, Decatur, where he has lived all his life- We know this for the editor of The Courier has lived there and has known him for many years. And we ai e sure his home section will give him a rousing, un animous endorsement. - Calhoun County Courier. Judge W. M. Judge Harrell is an able lawyer and has had considerable experience in presiding over the courts, having been Judge of the city court of his home town for a long time.
