Uncle Joe Kirbo, ot Mitchell,
a man that .'got printers ink on
his clothes forty years ago was
in the city a few days this week.
Mr. Kirbo is one of the patriarchs
of his county and has been farm
ing for a number of years. In his
youth he followed the printers
craft and it is very interesting
to hear his story of the “Office
Towel” in his day. Uncle [Joe is
hale for a man of his age and one
of the good old men that now
takes pride in the country that
he helped hew out of the wilder
ness and his friends wish for
him many long and useful years.
The boys all got back from
their fishing trip Monday morn
ing (cant say Sunday night) and
they looked like a bunch that
had not only a good time but
had magnificent bait on all trip.
Senators Manghum and Persons
and Judge Stark all left tor their
homes Monday morning after
viewing the Empire of Decatur
as it really is.
