Mr. Jody Watt and sister Miss Betty and Miss Ozella Eagerton, attended the dance at Chatta hoochee last Friday night. The baseball game was played at Fairchild last Saturday after noon and our team is still in prime. Saturday night seemes to be very appropiate for dances now- days. Mr. Alva Saunders and little brothers J. T. Jr., and Bartow went fishing last Saturday, and caught a fine chance of fish. . Messrs. D. Turnage, A. J. Mc Mullen and Will Jackson enjoyed a fish supper at Hares’ Landing and reported the cat fish fine. Miss Nellie Saunders carried away a lovely fountain pen for her penmanship last week at the Donalsonville High School. Hurrah! for two Fairchilds girls. Miss Louelthy Mulaney won for spelling. She lives in Brin son, but of course she attended her first school at old Fairchild. Such girls as Nellie and Louelthy deserves much honor. Mr. Hilliard Turnage was in Donalsonville, last week on busi ness. There will be a Union Meeting at Spring Creek church; beginn ing Friday April 28 and will con tinue until Sunday April 30th. Everybody is cordially invited to attend and bring well filled baskets. Mr. Frank Hope accompanied Mrs. Clennie Manning to the dance last Saturday night. Mr. Alva Turnage, and Miss Gladys Pugh, were united in the bonds of Matrimony at the resid ence of Rev and Mrs. M. E. Sheffield on the evening of April 22, 1916. Rev. Sheffieled officiat ed. A number of friends and relatives were present. The bride wore a lovely gown of light tan silk messaline, finished with lovely lace and braid. We wish for them all future happi-' ness and good luck. Well Easter passed and we didp’t have the expected cold weather, althought it was just fine to enjoy a good time. There was an egg hunt held at Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Howell’s on Saturday last and it was something grand. There was a large crowd, and besides we had eggs in abundance. We all hid the time of our lives and hope to have the pleausure of going to another next Easter. Miss Lucy Hovveil who is em ployed at the Florida Hospital for Insane, came home and spent Easter with home folks. Bring ing with her, her cousin Miss Burnice Howell, W. P. Howell attended the dance at the hospital Friday night. G. W. Howell made a business trip to Chattahoochee, last Satur day. Hinton Smith and Miss Bessie Sullivan was out joy-riding last Sunday in the little Ford. Rev. Jurdon preacher a very interesting sermon at the M. E. Church Sunday morning. Re turning to Recovery that after noon. Mr. Luke Cobb make his usual trip to Recovery Sunday. There must be some attraction down there. Mr. Burner Johns made a fly ing trip to Mr. W. G. Johnson’s Sunday afternoon. There must be some attraction up there for the Recovery boys. Don’t forget the all day sing next Sunday and please be sure and remember to bring the “chicken” that’s me. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Coleman and Messrs. Frank Pope and James Coleman, ate dinner ou the river last week. They also enjoyed eating fish. • LISTEN: MR.
