POPE BIC1CLES-SEE? To the Voters of Decatur Co: In making my announcement for re-election to the House of Re presentatives I wish to first re turn thanks to the voters for tiieir consideration in the past election. I have tried to serve the best interests of the county and have secured such com mittee appointments that will enable me to be of service to the county. I wish to state to the voters that owing to the fact that the session will begin in a few days I will not be able to at tend to the duties of the office and see them during the cam paign. While the campaign is on the representative has to be at his pest in Atlanta and it he runs back and forth to take part in such camsaign he will of necessity have to neglect his duties as your representative. I will be at home during such time that the house may not be in session. I will vote for the pending bill to remove the state capitol to Macon and also the bill providing for Bi-ennial ses sions of the legislature. I will vote to protect every privilege that the people now enjoy and to get more if such an opportunity conies to me. Numerous and sundry bills having been intro duced in regard to school and school book matters, I wish to say that I will support such of these that seem to me will be the best for the children and patrons of the schools. I wish to ask the voters to take in consideration the fact that an absent candidate will be at a disadvantage and not able to combat every street corner rumor that may be circulated. I shall stay on my job and I know that the voters will take proper care of the man that does that. Thanking all in advance I am, Very Respectfully, E, H. Griffin.
