Payment of military compen sation will be paid direct to the dependents designated, or upon the request of men without de pendents. will be held in trust by the company until the return of the employe. The period of absence on mili tary duty will not be consider ed a breach in continuity of service as affecting our life Insurance or Pension regulations but such time of absence will included in the company service record of each employe the same as if he had engaged in military service. During such absence of an employe, the Life Insurance issued to him by this company will remain in full force and effect. Discrimination will not be made in any manner aganist any employe upon his return from military service, and as far as possible arrangements will be made tor each man to return to his former position. The above conditions will ap ply to employes whose extent of absences is one year or less, continuously in state military or naval service, but the pri vilege of the company is reccg nized to make modifications, ex tensions or abrogations of these conditions at any future time as may appear advisable. AFP you know well enough what that means, 1 “ you’ve ever smoked a Virginia cigarette. * 'The tobacco man's tobacco” is what Virginia is called. Sun-goldened, lively, mellow Virginia—that’s Piedmonts! ALL Virginia! There’s “character” aplenty in Piedmonts. Have you been woridering why your cigarette is shy of taste? Why it is just merely “a smoke”? It s because it lacks ‘‘character”! This re medy is used successfully in India both as a preventive and cure for cholera. You may know from this that it can be depended upon for the milder forms of bowel complaint that occur in this country. Obtain able evey where. THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE With loud acclaim.
