FAIRCHILD FACTS Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Neel and lamily had to remain here longer than they anticipated on account of the great rise of the Chattahoochee, but they have succeeded in getting back to Florida again. Mrs. Roberta Joyner, of Val dosta, is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. T. Saunders, at this place. Mr. and Mrs Emmett Johnson, of Desser, visited their mother, Mrs. E. W. Johnson, last week. Little Spengler McMullen, happened to an accident of swallowing a fish bone and it lodging in his throat last week. We are so glad he was put in the hands of a skillful physician, Dr. Thomas Chason of Donal- sonville, who quickly removed the bone. Just crowds of people throng to the drean every day and en joy the pleasures of bathing in the running stream. Mr. R. L. Johnson, and little daughter, Ernestine, visited Mr. and Mrs. E. Johnson, at Desser, last Friday. Lots of cattle and hogs have been rescured and saved from the high water on the Chatta hoochee river and creeks. The people that have rescured them in our neighborhood would like to find the true owners to said property. (Written for last week) Since the continued rains, Chattahoochee river has risen to a great extent. Mr. Hilliard Turnage, enjoyed several days last week around Brinson. But he wont let us know whom his attraction was. Dr. J. A. B. Sikes and Mr. Benton George of Iron City were in our midst last week. The protracted meeting to be held at New Lakehinton church last week, was postponedjluntil next second Sunday in August. Roswell Powell, visited near Fairchild last Sunday. Quite a crowd enjoyed a fish- fry at Still Springs the 4th of July. Some more wedding bells will be jingling again soon. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Barlow, were in our community last Sun day. Mr. R. L. Johnson, received a fine Hereford male calf last Sun day, in the great rise on the river. The poor little calf would have been gone in a little more.
