charter granted hy the Superior Court
of said county, respectfully shows:
1st. That bn the 9th, day of July,

Superior Court of said County to be

Court of said county on July 9th, 1903.
•2nd. That the capital stock of said
corporation is Fifty Thousand
1 $50,000.00) Dollars divided into shares
of One Hundred ($ 100.00) Dollars; with
the right to increase the capital stock
to an amount not exceeding One
Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dol
lars.
;;rd. That on August 19th, 1903, the
Superior Court of Decatur County*,
Georgia, passed an order granting
charter to the Wainhurst ltailway
during the August special term of said
Superior Court on petition of G. J.
Hope, J. K. Joicc, J. A. McIntosh and
ID M. Graham.
1th. That all Ihe proceedings in
corporating said Wainhurst ltailway
was recorded in the Clerk’s office of
the Superior Court of Decatur County,
Georgia, in book No. 1 of the Records
of Superior Court charters on pages

5th. That the said Wainhurst Rail
way desires to surrender its said chart
er and franchise as a corporation and
lie dissolved by the order and decree of
said Superior Court.
(Ith. The said Wainhurst Railway
Company shows to the court that at a
meeting of the stockholders of the said
corporation, duly called for the pur
pose, a resolution was adopted by the
affirmative vote of the owners of two-
thirds of the capitul stock of said c >r-
porution, resolving that the cor
poration shall surrender its charter
and franchise to the State and he dis
solved as a corporation; a certified copy
of said resolution being hereto attached
marked “Exhibit A" and made a part
hereof.

Whereas, the stockholders of the
Wainhurst Railway Company desire
to surrender It charter and franchise to
the State and be dissolved as a cor

Whereas, the Wainhurst Railway

charter can be surrendered and said
Corporation dissolved without any in
justice to any stockholder or any per
son having claims or demands of any
character against said corporation:
Now, therefore, be it resolved that it
is the request and desire of the stock
holders of the Wainhurst Railway that
said charter be surrendered anil said
corporation dissolved and the Directors
of the Wainhurst Railway Company
are requested to take suen action us
may be necessary to surrender said
charter and all the franchises of the
Wainhurst Railway to the State of
Georgia.

spirited debate that the state

last Monday held an old fashion
spelling bee.
Banker, W. B. Johnson and
wife are entertaing “ W. B. John
son 3rd,” a recent permanent
arrival at their home.
With the bridges now repaired
the dwellers and passers through
Climax will think better of our
burg and praise our Burgo
masters.
Socially Climax has been
bright and sunny in spite of the
clouds and rains. Among the
visitors have been Misses Beat
rice Ogburn, Lillie Ruth Surles,
Clyde Hayes, Eunice Cook and
Madge Walls.
Miss Bulah Hollingworth, is
visiting in Metcalf.
Mrs. Lulu King has return
ed from a stay of several months
in Donalsonville.
Climax has its share of “fans”
who betake themselves to Bain
bridge according to schedule.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Trulock re
turned last week from New
York, Buffalo and other points
north.
Next Sunday is the fifth Sun
day and Rev. J. W. Stokes will
preach at the Presbyterian
church morning and night.
Rev. Jordan filled his appoint
ment at Recovery last Sabbath.
The regular services in this
church next Sunday July 30th,
will be as follows:

and Sermon.
8:00 p. m. Eevening Prayer
and Sermon.
This will probably be the last
services in this church until
September as Mr. Sams expects
to leave the last of next week

People of this community are

going to the protracted meeting
during this rainy weateer.
Mr. Allen Duke called on Miss
Laura Campbell Sunday after
noon.
Quite a large crowd attended
the protracted meeting here last
week. All seemed to have en
joyed it. Rev. Taylor assisted
our pastor Rev. W. R. Howell
in the meeting. We were all
glad to have Brother Taylor
among us.
Mrs. Lula Lovett, spent last
week at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. P. S. McGlamery.
Our Sunday school is progress
ing nicely. Quite a crowd at
tended last Sunday. Hope there
will be more next Sunday.
Messrs. Carl McGlamery and
Eddie Williams spent Thursday
night with Messrs. Charlie and
Jesse Wilson.
Miss Lucile Rich has return
ed home after an extended visit
to the northern states and Cana
da. She reports a nice time,
only when in a storm which, con-
tinured ninteen hours.
Mr. Chester Reed, spent most
of last week at Mr. W. J. Dukes’
and we guess there was some at
traction.
