Ayton Bluett preached an interesting sermon at the Baptist church Sunday night. Mr. C. E. Franklin of Moultrie spent Saturday night and Sunday with relatives. Swauna Mae Whigham spent the week end with Willie Rob 1 erts of Lynn. The services of baptism will be held at Smithford Creek on next Sunday evening at 3:30, Rev. Bluett conducting same. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Powell din ed with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Franklin, last Sunday. Mr. J. M. Valentine visited Dentist Baggs two days last week. Mr. E. M. Franklin attended to business in Bainbridge Thurs day. Mrs. Fannie Powell of Col quitt, spent Sunday with Mrs. J. H. Powell. Mr. D. Phillips and family spent Sunday with Mr. Williams and family. Mr, Richard Parker of Bain bridge was with his Grand-par ents and friends here Saturday. Mrs. J. D. Kenney is on the sick list at this writing. We hope for her a better feeling ere long. (2) BETHEL DOTS (Written tor last week) The farmers of this section are enjoying sitting around and watching it rain. One of our most prosperous farmers, Mr. J. R. Yerta, sold seven pigs about eleven months old, to the Moultrie Packing Co,, for which he received $5 a head. This shows what our farmers can do. Messrs. E. Hatcher, Ed and J. T. Wilson, Jr., and Miss Averet Hatcher went over to Bain bridge last Monday. Mr. Hatch er’s eyes were in a bad condi tion and he had them treated. Brother Stokes held his regu lar appointment at the Bethel school house last Sunday after noon. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Yerta din ed with Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Scott last Sunday. Quite a large crowd of young people dined with Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Campbell last Sunday. All leported a nice time. Misses Nola and Ruby Hatcher visited their cousins, Misses Katie, Ruth and Lucile Hatcher, last Saturday night and Sunday. I guess they had a nice time. Mrs. R. L. Campbell and chil dren visited Mrs. E. Hatcher last Saturday. Little Miss Martha Griffin din ed with Lucile Hatcher last Sun day. Mrs. William Orr has returned home after a \isit to her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Martin. Mr. and Mrs. Ros3 Barineau spent the week end with their sister, Mrs. A. F. Johnson. Messrs. Jessie and Charlie Wilson, and FJddie Williams, and Misses Avie Hatcher, and Dolie Howell attended the sing at New Light last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Cato are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl at their home.
