Atlanta, Ga. Nov. 23—Reports
on business conditions through
out the country show that never
before has the southern farmer
held such a winning hand as he
holds today.
With cotton around the twenty
cent mark, the Highest since the
Civil War and with food prices
•oaring, Atlanta business men
declare that the ''man who feeds
us all” is king in fact as well as
name and that the money he is
pouring into the channels of
trade has made this season
among the most bountiful on re
cord.
Preached for many years, the
doctrine of diversified crops is
bearing fruit in the form of in
creased production of meat,
grain and other food crops in the
south, all of which have reach
ed a high level of prices and
on top of these the fanners are
marketing their cotton and cot
ton seed at prices unparalleled
in the present generation.
