Wheeler of Milan, Ga., is spending a few days with her son Mr. W. A. Wheeler and family. A1 Hurst and wife and a party of friends from Mitchell county were down last Sunday afternoon to take in the band concerts. Miss Vera Miller of Iron City was in town a short while Friday afternoon. L. D. Royal and wife of Climax were in the city a short while the fore part of the week shopping. R. E. Paige of Climax was a well known visitor to.Bainbridge Saturday. J. W. Hagan of Iron City was in town Monday a short while. 1 Prof. D. H. Wood was in the city Sunday night a short while on his way home from Thomas- ville. Hon. W. E. Smith and wife, D. D. Smith and wife, W. V. Smith and wife of Attapulgus attended the Conference at Thomasville Sunday. , Hon R. G. Hartsfield returned from Atlanta Sunday night where ha had been for a few days on b isiness. The Empire Cotton Oil Mills will furnish at their mill to all farmers White Spanish seed peanuts at 6 1-4 cents per pound. These peanuts are of the very bast and the person that expects to plant peanuts for the market or otherwise will do well to talk over this question (with Mr Carter. Messrs. Adams and Gambrel two well known Alabama fox- hunters are in the city this week with G. D. Griffin and a party of friends and they are going to give Reynard some real busy nights. Mr. and Mrs. Shingler, Mr, and Mrs. Dickenson, Dr. Spengler and Miss Alva Floyd of Donai sonville were in the city Sunday afternoon visiting Miss Hattie McCaskill who has been at the Bainbridge Hospital for a tew weeks past. The new quarters of the Citiz ens Bank will soon be ready and they will move in about January 1st. These new quarters will be about the latest thing in bank buildings and every convenience will be furnished the customers, the friends and the visitors at the bank. Special accomodations will be prepared for the man that pays of his hands in town and would like to have a convenient place to do it right in. The re pair work being done by the Richardson Engineering and Constructing Company. Mr. and Mrs. A1 Dorman of Chattahoochee were in the city Sunday afternoon for a short while, bringing A1 Jr., along with them. Miss Georgia Lee Grady and friends were in the Jcity a short while {Sunday afternoon, coming over in a car from Iron City. Mrs. B. D. Fudge of Talla hassee was in the city a short while Saturday with friends. The Bainbridge Band gave a spendid concert in Colquitt Fri day night that was not only en joyed but appreciated by the people of that city. They are a splendid set of musicians and will be appreciated anywhere. Dr. J. D. Chason left Friday morning for New Orleans with the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Cohen to take her to Tulane where she has a serious operation to have performed. Her friends and the friends of her parents hope for her a speedy ■ recovery. Mr. T. J. Hicks, wife and child ren passed through Bainbridge Thanksgiving day for Arlington where they spent the day with relatives. Doc is now located at Tallahassee. Some of the country corres pondents by coming in late last week were crowded out and this could not be helped. We always use them the week they are sent if we can get them in time but if not we use them the following week. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds and boy of Sherman, Texas spent last week in the city with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jenkins. Mrs. Charles Glover left the first of the week tor El Paso, Texas where she will join Mr. Glover and make their future home. Mrs. G. B. Garwood of Don aisonville and children spent Thanksgiving day with her brother, Editor Griffin of the Post-Search Light. The friends of Miss Hattie McCaskill of Donaisonville will learn with pleasure that she is doing fine after an operation at the Bainbricge Hospital. The friends of Mr. Earnest Graves will be glad to know that he has entirely recovered from his seriou3 illness. His mother, Mrs. A. D. Graves, who has been visiting him at his home at Daytona Beach, Fla., has returned to this city, and is with Mrs. Frank Jones for the winter. Decayed or Broken Teeth. Strange to say, in these days of advanced dentis try, the first thought of most penple, when a decay ed, broken or aching tooth is discovered, is to have it “pulled;” when by all that’s reasonable, extraction should be resorted to only as the last and extreme measure. Teeth are too valuable to be lost without an ef fort to save them. It is my firm conviction that 90 per cent, of the extractions are unnecessary. The teeth could and should have been saved and the den tist who resorts to extraction without first showing his patient that a little filling or crowning of the tooth will save it indefinitely, is indifferent, to say the least, to that patient’s welfare. I never advise extraction unless as a last resort of relief. DR. H. F.
