DESSER NEWS As there are several corres pondents for your paper from Route B. I will only send a few items about our public school and also our Sabbath School. Our school is progressing ex ceedingly well with Miss Ruth Voorhies as Principal and Miss Ozella Eagerton, assistant. There are about ninety pupils enrolled and all are doing splendid work. There will be a Christmas en tertainment at the school house Friday night, Det. 22. Rev. Stokes, of Climax is to make the opening speech and every body is cordially invited to attend. The Sabbath School at Salem Church which had about died out was reorganized last Sunday afternoon and as every one present seemed interested and determined to make it a success there will be Sabbath School every Sunday at 3 p. m. and prayer meeting every Wednesday night in the Desser School house. We want everybody both young and old to come out and help us make the schools grow both in number and strength, and may their good influence be felt among the boys and girls of our neighborhood aud the only way to make a success of them is for all of us to work together for “United we stand, and divided we fall.” UGH!
