On January 1st, the City Health
Department began routine inspection
of all carcasses of bqef, pork, mutton,
etc., brought to the city for human,
consumption. This is being done wilh
the idea of assuring the people that
every piece of meat they buy in the-
local markets is from a healthy ani
mal. This applies not only to meat*
sold in the local markets, but to meat
peddlers on the streets. All of the
market men of the city are co-operat
ing with the health department in
this matter, and we fee 1 that they are
deserving o fthe patronage of the pea-
pie.
