Why do Scheuer Bros, sell so many goods?
Because their goods are the best and cheapest.
People in want of a fine whiskey for medicinal
or social use should buy only I. W. Harper’s
Nelson County Kentucky Whiskey, because it
contains no foreign substances to give it flavor or
old age. It is the extract of the best grain grown
n the blue grass region of Kentucky—hence
bread in a fluid state. Not a barrel leaves the
distillery until it has attained an age of at least
four years, and being forwarded direct from
where it w r as made to me, patrons can rely on
getting it in its absolute purity and excellence.

NUMBER 24.
Our friend C. 11. C. Willingham of the
Cartersville Free Press, declines to be a
candidate for Commissioner of Bartow
county. We are glad of it; he is a good
square, independent thinker and writer
now, but we have an idea that a man can
not continue independent long, as an ed
itor, after he gets hankering for office.
An honest editor would he he tempted to
scratch out a threadful expression of
opinion, prepared for his columns, any
time, where he a candidate for office and
knew the article would set some bull
headed leaders of a faetiou against him.
Editors have got no business running for
office if they desire to he impartial and
independently honest, or if they do run,
the call should be of such character as to
leave no mistake as to the office seeking
the man. — Griffin Sun.

G. R. Gibbons 101
J. G. M. Montgomery.. 11
The two last named gentlemen were
not candidates more than to say they
