Editor Nugget: Allow me space in your valuable paper to write u few words about Canada. On Friday, July 81, we had speaking, box dinner and me morial services and preaching at Mt. Lebanon church. First was: speech by Prof. W. 1\ Lunsford, followed by George Ingram. The subject was: “There’s nothing great in the world but man. There is nothing great in man but mind.” Owing to illness, Mr. Lunsford’s speech was somewhat shortened, but it was very inter esting and pointed. Ingram spoke longer and tho audience was very attentive. The box dinner was prepared for the purpose of rais ing funds to be used for fencing the grayc yard. When the sale opened there was some very lively bidding, tho boxes bringing from seventy-live cents to three dollars. There was about forty boxes sold. Tho sale in all, amounted to about thirty six dollars. After tho sale a recess of two hours was given for dinner. After dinner some interesting pieces were read in memory of Charlie Nelson and Willie Davis, They were written by their school mates and were very touching. Wo hope to read the interesting memorial composition, written by , Miss May Abercrombie, age thir- i teen, and Miss Alice Nelson, age fourteen, through the columns of tho Nugget. Also Mr. G. W. IV. Abercrotnbio wrote a yory inter esting piece iu memory of his wifo' After this two nice cups of (lowers were prepared and carried in front by Rev. Jonathan (5i 1 routh and wo all marched around the grayc yard where our many friends and rels ativos are buried. Then Rev. .1. J. Shed preached a very interest ing memorial sermon.
