In Dahlonega resides Mr. J. E.
Howell, who was brave enough to

captured. This poor old soldier
has been declining in health for
some time. He is in destitute cir*
cnaistanecs, not able to work, and
j certainly deserves a pension if
any soldier ever did. He made
out a good claim some time ugo
but for somo reason his pension
was not allowed, although he had
sufficient proof and oven had his
discharge from prison, but Judge
Huff was so sure ho would draw
thut ho didn’t send it off with his
other papers. If such men as this
can’t get u pension tho lg\v ought
to bo repealed.
