Ib the College Moving?
Certainly so! Aud not only is
it moving, but it is moving other
things also. For instance, when
the Phi Mb society undertakes to
have an entertainment' she has it
with no “i’s nor anils" about it.
When she has public debates sho
wins the people. When she has
an anniversary sho respects tho
people, and' when she has a
champion debate she—well she
dhosn’t get anything else but tho
dcoision!
What about the Decoras?
Well, 1 just hate to come right \
out and express my honest opin- j
ion. Yet, they say an honest con^ |
fe9sion is good for the soul. Any- 1
way the Decoras nrc a good lot of
boys, and if they live long enough
they will make a good lot of men. |
They toll us that the future con-'
gross will be full of Decoras but
wo aro not uneasy but that wo can
manage to get one Phi Mu in ns a
prize. It is hard to tell which one
of tbo societies has the larger num
ber of patriotic aspirants. P6s-1
sibly the Decora, for they aro a
little more numerous. Some one
has suggested' that the Decoras
have the numbers but tho Phi Mus -
bavo the quality. Of course the
reader will-not: think that 1 am
biased i» the least, for when a per
son* cant’ see but one side of a
thing he is said to be perfectly
‘T6yel headed.”
The Decorns have elected one
Senior and one Junior this year
for champion* debate. They say
they are going to break the mo-
notorrryof losing the last six de
cisions.
The Phi Mns say they aro going
tb-sustain n well-soon reputation.
Something must be going to hap
pen, for both say that they are go
ing to succeed. 1 If this is the case
it will ho the biggest double vic
tory that was ever pulled off of a
Dahloncga platform.
So Amen—let her go—is what
we hallow!*

The National Govern inont gives
the rivers and harbors some $80,-
<>00,000 a year.
It gives the cities great public
buildings, post-offices, court
houses, etc.
It gives manufacturers protec
tion by the tariff.
It gives the veterans and their
families $ 110,CK>0,000 a year in
pensions. .
It has loaned its credit to build
railways and given them grants of
millions of acres of land.
It has, however, done but little
for the farmer and for agricul
ture.
The farmer is th'c backbone of
the country; it is he who feeds the
entire population, and he is no
longer satisfied with poor roads.
At last it seems as if the Nation
al Government was going to - do
something for tho farmer. A' bill
has been introduced in Congress,
called tho Brownlow bill, which
appropriates $24,000,000' as Na
tional aid for the building of
roads. The farmer wants this
bilUto pass, and he is determin
ed that tho National Government
i shall do something for him, as
well as for the rest of itSfCitizens.

Richard Grant White, the phil

what it is in its various phrases as
an applied science.
| Buss, to kiss; Rebuss, to kiss

regard to number; Sillybuss, to
kiss the hand instead oft the lips;
Blnnderbus, to kiss the--wrong per
son ; A nimbus, to kiss everyone in
the room ; Erebus, to ki.-ts in the
dark.
Persons interested can thus take
their choice.

MEDICINE
Stock and poultry have few
troubles which are not bowel and
liver irregularities. Black-
Drauffht Stock and Poultry Medi
cine is a bowel and liver remedy
for stock. It puts the organs of
digestion in a perfect condition.
Prominent American breeders and
farmers keep their herds and flocks
healthy by giving them an occa
sional dose or Black-Draught Stock
and Poultry Medicine in their
food. Any stock raiser may buy a
25-cent half-pound air-tight can
of this medicine from his dealer
and keep his stock in vigorous
health for weeks. Dealers gener
ally keep Black-Draught Stock and
Poultry Medicine. If yours does
not, send 25 cents for a sample
can to the manufacturers. The
