This is the grandest work done

which is to supply the Briar Patch
mine with water, is moving right
along. While some men are work
ing on the canal others are cutting
the tunnels. All these are already
completed except two—one at

at or near Arveter Snliins, and
130 feet of the latter was cut Sat
urday— Ilf) feet on one side of the
hill and 15feet on«the other. The
latter being rock has to be blasted.

cemetery is only 812 feet.
It turns out that the big bed of
ore at the Ixickhart contains siL

and sulphrets are being separated
and saved now. The extent
