“Ever since I have known,
about Black-Draught,’’ says
Mrs. Della Maybett, of Gads
den, Ala., “it lias been my
regular standby for indiges
tion and constipation.
“I first used Black-Draught
fourteen years ago. At that
time, I was suffering with a
bad case of swelling across
my abdomen. Every bite I
ato disagreed, with me, and I
had very severe headaches.
“I decided to try Black-
Draught. I was truly aston
ished at the quick relief. In
a few days, 1 began to feel
liko a different woman. In
stead of being dull and list
less, I began to feel bright
and energetic.
“From that time on, i have
rarely been without a box of
Black-Draught in my house.’’

Art Nourished by Nature
7 now understand why the Greek's
were such great poets; and above all,
7 can account, it seems to me, for the
harmony, tho unity, the perfection, (tie
uniform excellence of all their works
of art. They lived in a perpetual com
merce with external nature, and nour
ished themselves upon the spirit of
its forms. Their theaters were all
open to tho mountains or the sky.
Their columns, the ideal type of n
sacred forest, with Its roof of inter
woven tracery, admitted the light
and wind. The odor and tho fresh
ness of Hie country penetrated the
cities. Their temples were mostly un-
partliaic; and tho living clouds, tho
stars and Hie deep sky were seen
above;—Shelley, in a letter to Pca-

Bermuda Relics on Onion
Tho sgil of Bermuda is particularly
adapted to the cultivation of the
onion. 7t consists largely of pow
dered coral and contains the ele
ments which are most congenial to
the onion. Moreover, the situation
and climate of the Island nre such
that the farmers are able to put their
early onions Into the markets of
American cities at a time when they
nre peculiarly welcome.
As a result Bermuda lias become
virtually one great onion patch. The
happiness of the Island may be said
to bang upon the onion. When there
is a good crop and prices are good, the
people are happy; when the crop falls,
or prices nre low, they are correspond
ingly depressed.

V/Iien Trees Crow
Many believe that trees grow fron
early spring when the leaves begin to
come out until the frost when they
start to show their autumn color. But
this widespread belief Is not correct,
says the American Tree association.
For Instance. In the latitude of south
ern Pennsylvania the native forest
trees make 90 per cent of their height
growth in 40 days of spring and early
