C. E. Baker motored to Waycross
Tuesday.
Mrs. Clyde Jardine and children
left today for Jasper, Fla., to spend
a fortnight.

Announcements of the marriage
of Miss Eula Bass to Mr. Nerl of
Charlotte, S. C., have been received
by the Douglas friends of Miss Bass,
the marriage having occured at
Cartersvlile recently. Miss Bas 3
formerly taught here in the public
school.
Miss Nell Verdery has resigned
her position in the schools here and
returned to her home in Augusta.
Her place for this week was filled by
Mrs. Verdery Roberts, but Miss
Skinner, of Aiken, S. C., has been
elected for the remainder of the
term.

shows has been in the city all the
week gathering in the shekels and
giving those who have attended some
thing rich, rare and racy for their
coin.

mal College will spend their holidays
