WOMAN'S CLUB.
The Womans’ Club held their re
gular meeting in the music room at
the school buiiding Thursday after
noon.
The elections of Vice-President and
Parliamentarian were held. Mrs. J.
M. Ashley, being elected vice presi
dent and Mrs. M. D. Dickerson, par
liamentarian.
A donation was made to Cemetery
funds, also to Tallullah Falls School.
After reading of new constitution
and by-laws by Mrs. Ross, the Club
enjoyed a paper on “Club Work’’ by
Mrs. Jule Jordan.

Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Vickers who

House since their recent marriage
are at home to their friends on Bryan

Mrs. Moyer of Virginia, after vis
iting her daughter, Mrs. Turner
Brewer, for several days left this
week for Jacksonville, where fehe will
spend some time with her son.

Mr. Charlie Grantham motored
from Thomasville to Douglas Satur
day, bringing with him Mr. Pinkney
Grantham of Thomasville, and Mr.
and Mrs. Jesse Grantham and chil
dren of Fitzgerald. All the party
have returned to their homes except
Mr. Charley Grantham who is spend
ing several days with his sister, Mrs.
W. W. McDonald.

Mr. Marion Dixon and daughter,
Miss Fannie Lee, were over from
Osierfield Sunday and spent the day
with the family of Capt. J. J. Dor

moving again last Monday.
Capt. Chas. A. Tyler has accepted
a position with the Striekland-Till
man Hardware Co., of Valdosta as
travelling salesman and is now on
the road regularly for that company
There are some two hundred and
sixty pupils on the roll of the Insti
tute this term. No higher encomium
could be given Prof. Maddox and his
efficient corpse of teachers by our
people.
Mr. Henry Milhollan is at home to
his many friends in the residence he
recently purchased from C. D. Kirk
land, and upon which he has had
some handsome improvements made
recently.
