Rules Governing Ladies’ Exhibit.
No. 1. All exhibitors competing for premiums must be ‘‘hona
fide” residents of Coffee county, and the work exhibited to be the
work of the exhibitor.
No. 2. All exhibits entered for competition shall be subject to
the control of the committee of the department in which they are
exhibited and no article on exhibition may be removed until the close
of the fair, except upon the written permission of the Executive
Committee.
No. 3. All exhibits, except cut flowers ar.d cooking, must be
entered by 6 o’clock Monday.
No. 4. No article entered in a collection can compete for an
other premium.
No. 6. No premium will be awarded where the exhibit is un
worthy, though there be no competition.
No. 6. If itjs ascertained that any exhibitor has made or caus
ed to be made, false statements in regard to article exhibited, or if
any exhibitor shallj attempt to interfere with the judges in the per
formance of their duties, she shall be excluded from competition.
No. 7. So far as possible, the judges will be selected from dis
interested parties visiting the Fair, and will be selected by the com
mittee having that special department in charge.
No. 8. No appeal from the judge’s decision will be considered
unless accompanied with of partiality shown, and all such
complaints must be written and presented to the chairman of the
Ladies Committee before the close of the hair.
No. 9. Should any doubt arise in regard to any exhibit, or any
other important matter, which the judges feel incompetent to decide
they shall report to the committee in charge of that department, who
shall in turn report to the chairman of the Executive Committee for
decision.
No. 10. No article that has been entered twice at former fairs
can compete for premiums.
No. 11. No premium will be awarded when there is no competi
tion. A blue ribbon will be given.
No. 12. A collection means a variety of different kinds fo work,
not all of one kind.
