VTPIIE benefits of Cheap Postage will be much felt and

that they can. notwithstanding they may live in the remotest

in the country, wiili Hie greatest certainty, and at a very tri
lling cost; and doubtless the favorable opportunity will not
he thrown away by tiijjny whose cases haVfe for years baf

thus placed within their reach, which scientific research
may have elacidated, and on which successful application
has already stamped approval.
Without subjecting himself to the ehargfe of egotism, the

But least neradventure some of nur medical savans in a
patnxysm of disinterested kindness and pure regard for the
welfare of the people (T) should take advantage of this state
ment and denounce it as a ••barefaced hnmbug” or "ar
rant quackery,” os they have been pleased m, classically
to style whatever is advanced relative to medicine that is
not a relic of the dark aces, bearing the stamp of the boast
ed experience of three thousand years; it has been thought
proper to give such, a chance to show the superiority of their
faith by their works; and for that purpose the subscriber not
only renews his former proposition for an equal comparison
of practical result*, but will now allow a JiHerence of ten
to one in their favor, thus: He proposes tohild himself

An's, nr.d llr,I Bugs!
S. Levi ic Co, promise those of the pablie. who tnsy be
annoyed by these destructive vermin, lint after using this
well tested and highly efireiual preparation for a few days,
they will etprrirm-ea complete riddance of all ibis vermin.
This preparation possesses tbe singular property, that
without being actual puisou.it will not only kill the lists.
Mice. Ac., but will, in consequence of the s-nole it produces,
positively compel those that d-s not partake of it, prenpi- !
lately to leave tlie house.
This preparation ha* now been in u*e in Germany ami j
France about three years; and l^en pronounced, by every
one who has given it’s fair trial, the best remedy they have j
ever used for the exlrrmiaalMra of lt*is, Mice, Ants, Cock-
Boaclie*, and Bed-Bags.
The ■'tides composing thiscnmpns'tinn are in themselves
very inn*--cut,amt rnn1R | tl IKJI a particle of poiinti; but wbeu
combined create n gas. which explcdcs the H-'inncb, and
consequently destroys hfe in a tew hours. As s<h.ii ns it
has cilccted the stnmaeb. the articles become neutralized i
and will affect nothing thereafter, so that iherecan be tiu

The directions for using the preparation accompany eve* 1

versal MEDICINE.—Accurately prepared by
Dr. II. S. Moat.ofNew York, from the original recipe used
or many years by his late father, Mr. Thomas Moat, Viue
President of the British College of Health
Twenty years' successful administration of these cele
brated medicines in Europe, and more than twelve years in
the United State,, have established tbeir high reputation.
Thousands of both sexes, who have been restored tn health
—the numerous sufferer* rescued from premature death—
aud volumes of certified eases ot core, embracing every
disease iu the long catalogue of tinman misery; mint con-
vim-e the most incredulous, of their superiority and the
truth of the Hygeian theory, resulting from scientific re
search and experience, namely, that "man is subject to only
one real disease—impurity of the blood.”
The medicines being composed entirely of berbs or ve
Cetabie matter, purify the blood, and carry off the corrupt
humors of the lmdy, in a iiianncr so simple aa to give every
day case and pleasure.
Tue Hygeian medicines, first introduced into this coun
try by H. S. M"»t. in Item, have for tbe last four years
been prepared l>v him; ami the increasing sale attests their
intrinsic merit; tliev comprise two sorts of Pills, No. 1 and
