•XTOUNG’S MAMMOTH CORN—This variety of
JL Yellow Corn which is beginning to attract the
attention of oar Farmers, recommends itself on ac
count of its early maturity, abundant production, and
superior weight. It is two weeks earlier in matur
ing than any other Corn known in our country, ami
weighs 81 x’tT-Two Pounds per Bushel.
It ia also known to contain more nutritious matter
than any other variety of Corn. 1 recently sent a
| sample to market, in order to test its superiority, and
j I was offered fifty percent, more for it than Ourcom-
i inoncorn was cmntnauding. A few grains of it waa
j first introduced in this country from abroad into West
Tennessee, where it was found that the soil and cli
I mate were admirably adapted toits production. The
stalk i* somewhat larger but about the usual height
of the common white corn, bearing Generally two. i
and frequently three ears on a stalk. The ear is very
long and grain well developed ; with a hard red cob.
which is a sure indication of,*oundnesa.
This Corn is no Yankee humbug—no wooden nut
meg speculation, but strictly what it purports to be.
An experiment in its production was made last year ,
in Cass county by Dr. R. M. Younz, who is so well
pleased with its superiority and prolific yield, that
he intends this year to plant his entire crop with it.
The corn is neatly put up in sacks holdingoue
peck, and can he had nt Two Dollars per sack.
