Y OUNG’S MAMMOTH CORN—This variety of
Yellow Cora which is beginning to attract the
attention of our Farmers, recommends itself on ac
count of its early maturity, abundant production, and
superior weight. It is two weeks earlier in matur
ing than any other Corn known in our country, and
weighs Sixty-Two Pounds per Bushel.
It is also known to contain more nutritions matter
than any other variety of Cora. I recently sent a
sample to market, inorderto test itssuperiority.and
1 was ofiered fifty percent, more forit than ourcorn-
mon corn was commanding. A few grains of it was
first introduced in this couutry from abroad into West
Tennessee, where it was found that the soil and cli
mate were admirably adapted toits production. The
stalk is somewhat larger but about tbe usual height
or the common white corn, bearing generally two.
and frequently three ears on a stalk. The ear is very
long nnd grain well developed ; with a hard red cob.
which is a sure indication of soundness.
This Corn is no Yankee humbug—no wooden nut
meg speculation, but strictly what it purports to be.
' n experiment in its production was made last year
i Cass county by Dr. II. M. Young, who is so well
pleased with its superiority and prolific yield, that
‘ intends this year to plnnt his entire crop with it.
Tho corn is neatly pnt up in sacks boldingone
peck, and can be had at Two Dollars per sack.

TACON, Dec. 16.1852.—Dear Sir. From motives
J.TJL of gratitude to yourself, as well {as a feelin gof
humanity to those afflicted, asl havo been, with that
loathcsome and painfnl disease, Fistula I beg
ave to present yon the following statementof facts
touching my case, to be used by you as you may
think proper.
Some time in the month of Jane last, I found my;
self laboring under a painful malady, which eventu
ally resolted in Fistula; my suffering for weeks
was so great as to incapacitate me for active bnsiness
or even for walking about with facility. In this sit-
nation I resolved to submit myselftoyourprofessioD-
al skill, of which 1 had heard much, in such cases as
Cancer and Fistula, and I am happy to say. that I
was not disappointed except agreeably, at the very
short period required to effect a care, under your ju
dicious practice. To my great gratification, 1 w as so
far relieved uf the distressing complaint, in about
two weeks from tbetimeyou commencedyonreonrse
oi treatment, as Is bo able to leave my conch ami en-
joy society. A* -.'.isstage of the case. I was attnek-
ed with Bilious Fever, which required necessarily
apercient medicines to remove, and which retarded
the fint.l cureof tho fistula. Notwithstanding how
ever, thisset-back, 1 was in a very short period re
stored, by yonr skill, to my wonted state of health
which allmv acquaintances know has been uniform
ly sound and good for years.
From the fact, also.thatl have.forseveral months
been totally free from evervestage of the complaint,
am induced to believe, that tbe core is a radical and
permanent one. I wonld therefore most cordially
recommend all who maybe similarly afflicted, to a-
vail themselves ofyoar invaluable services and be
healed. I would add, that your mode of the treat
ment of the disease.is far less painful than the dis
ease itself, and that the patient should not hesitate,
through fear of pain, to place himself under yonr
care, with a grateful sense of benefit received at
your hands and the wish that others in need, may
profit by youruseful ministrations in theirbehalf.
I remain yonr friend and obedientservnnt.
