Y OUNG’S MAMMOTH CORN—This variety of
Yellow Corn which is beginning to attract the
attention of our Farmers, recommends itself on ac
count of iu early maturity, abundant production.and
superior weight. It ia two weeka earlier in matur
ing than anv other Corn known in our country, and
weighs Sixtt-Two Pounos pkk Bushel.
It is also known to contain more nutritious matter
than any other variety of Corn. I recently sent a
sample to market, in order to test iU supenority.and
I was offered fifty percent, more for it than our com
mon corn was commanding. A few grains of it was
first introduced in this country from abroad into West
Tennessee, where it was found that the soil and clt
mate were admirably adapted toils production. The
stalk is somewhat larger but about the usual height
of the common while corn, bearing generally two,
and frequently three ears on a stalk. The ear is vent
long and grain well developed ; with a hard red cob.
which is a sore indication of soundness.
This Corn is no Yankee humbug—no wooden nut
meg speculation, hut strictly what it purports to be.
An experiment in its production wasmadelast year
in Cas. coonty by Dr. IL M. Young, who is so well
plunscd with its superiority and proliGc yield, that
he intends this year to plant his entire crop with it.
The corn is neatly pat up in sacks holding one
peck, and can be had at Tvro Dollars per sack.

YTACON, Dec. I«. 1852—Dear Sir. From motiv. i
1VL of gratitude to yourself, as well Jas a feeling, i
humanity to those afflicted, as I have been, witli tin c
loathesome and painful disease. Fistula I br
leave to present you the following statementof facts
touching my case, to be used by* you as you nn.
think proper.
Some time in the month of June last, I foumf nn^
self laboring under a painful malady, which event,
ally resulted in Fistula; my suffering for weel -t
was so greatas to incapacitate me foractivebusine: s
or even for walking abont with facility. In this si ■
□ ation I resolved to submit myselftoyourprofessio. -
al skill, or which 1 had heard much, in such cases i .
Cancerand Fistula.and I am happy to say. that l
was not disappoiated except ognrally, at the veiv
sburt period reqnired to effect a core, under your j. ■
dicious practice. To my great gratification. 1 was .- .
farrelievedof the distressing complaint, in nboi c
two weeks from the timevou commenced yourcours-t
of trestment. as to he able to leave my couch and e: -
joysociety. At thisstage of the case, I was attack -
ed with Bilious Fever, which reqnired necessarily
apercient medicines to remove, nnd which retarded
the fun 1 cure of tbe fistula. Notwithstanding how
ever, this setback. 1 was in a very short period re
stored, by yoor skill, to my wonted state of health
which all my acquaintances know has been uniform
ly sound and good for years.
From the fact, also, that I have, tor several months
beet, totally free from ever vestage or the complaint.
I am induced to believe, that the cure is a radical and
permanent one. I would therefore roe -1. cordially
recommend all who may-be similarly afflicted, to a-
vail themselves of your invaluable services and be
healed. I would add. that yonr mode of thp treat
ment of the disease, is far less painful than the dis
ease itself, and that the patient should not hesitate,
through fear of pain, to place himself under your
care, with a grateful sense of benefit received at
your hands and the wish that others in need, may
profit by yooruseful ministrations in tlieir beliall.
I remain yourfrier.d andobedientservnnt.
