Fraud!
A LL who want AXES of the real COLLINS 3
CO. make should be particular to notice the
stamps, as there are various counterfeit* and imita
tions stamped Collins, and labelled miieli like our*,
which are fraudulently sold iu some parts of the Uni
ted States a* our manufacture. Tbey are made iu
different parts of the country by various axe-makers,
and are generally of very inferior quality. The
genuine Collins axes, which have acquired such r.u
extensive reputation, are invariably stamped “ COL
LINS 3 CO., Hartford," and each axe has a printed
label with my signature. It is now more than 25
years since we commenced the business with the
stamp of “ CilUns 3 Co., Hartford,’’ aud I do not
know of any other axe-maker by the name of Collins
in the United States.
